RBMA Educational Scholarships Now Available

January 16, 2013

Virtual Radiologic (vRad) and Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) have renewed their joint scholarship program for the third consecutive year, which offers RBMA members the opportunity to attend a RBMA conference by covering registration fees and other costs for attending. Since the program started in 2011, a total of ten scholarships have been awarded. For this year, vRad will provide six $1,500 scholarships.

RBMA Names 2012/13 Directors, Officers

The Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) announced its 2012/13 leadership changes this week.

Succeeding Mochael Bohl as president is Bob Still, an 18-year practice manager for Lancaster Radiology Associates of Lancaster, PA. Bohl, practice manager for Ragiology Group, PC, SC of Davenport, IA.

Medicare Clarifies Point of Service Rules

February 13, 2012

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has clarified that “point-of-service” designation for the professional component of Medicare services should reflect where the examination was performed.

In other words, the “point-of-service” for both the technical component and the professional component should be the same, regardless of whether the image was read from a remote location.

RBMA Joins ACR’s Leadership Institute

December 16, 2011

The American College of Radiology’s newly created Leadership Institute added its first affiliate organization this week with the Radiology Business Management Association.

The Leadership Institute plans to begin offering courses in professional development beginning in August 2012. The new curriculum will include RBMA’s existing programs and offer greater opportunities for CE credits.
