Living Large Above the Strip
Robert Salmon
A group of fortunate radiology administrators, and an always-hungry contingent of radiology press, were reminded of how things used to be in a penthouse at the top of the Mandalay Bay stocked with shellfish, carving stations, and a great selection of cheeses, compliments of Carestream Health. And yes, there also was a full bar, and a wrap-around patio that offered amazing views of the Strip. Throw in a jazz trio and a henna artist and things got a bit radical, but, after all, we were wearing name tags that identified us as Rad Stars. The food was terrific and a glass of wine is always welcome at the end of a long day of sessions and exhibits. I ran into some great people I hadn't seen in quite awhile. But the best thing about the party was the patio and the warm but fresh air. I realized I hadn’t breathed any in the 48 hours since I checked in.
