Carestream Health has announced it will demonstrate a variety of products at RSNA 2012, including new radiography systems, tabletop laser imagers, and DRX detectors, according to its press release.

Quantum Medical Imaging, a division of Carestream, will demonstrate three fully featured digital radiography imaging solutions. The first is DRive, a cost-effective upgrade to existing X-ray systems, which features a 24-inch high resolution widescreen monitor and a 1 terabyte hard drive that can store over 100,000 images. Quantum will also show wireless on demand DRX-Trays for use with Quantum’s Q-Rad Digital Radiographic Systems, which allows for quick transition between wireless to wired exams with a DRX detector. Lastly, Quantum will show its Q-VISION HF Series Radiographic Generators for high frequency imaging and efficient X-ray production. It features a high definition LCD screen, touch screen controls, and a built-in web cam. These systems will be showcased at the Quantum booth at RSNA.

Carestream Health will show its new DRYVIEW 5950 Laser Imaging System for general radiology and mammography images. The imager includes a built-in densitometer, DICOM connectivity, and easy software upgrades through Carestream’s Smart Link remote technology. The imager offers two film cartridges online and supports multiple film sizes. In the wireless digital radiography space, Carestream is showcasing the DRX 2530C Detector. It is currently a work in progress, but it is designed for dose-sensitive pediatric, orthopedic, and general radiology exams. Its small size makes it suitable for pediatric environments, and it is built to fit into pediatric incubator trays and offer higher DQE (detective quantum efficiency), which can lead to lower dose requirements than CR cassettes or gadolinium scintillator detectors. These products will be shown at the Carestream booth at RSNA.
