Is it just me or does it seem that the imaging business has become more adversarial? One can read no end of posts in the health care press about who is driving up medical imaging costs, who is going to save imaging, who are the interlopers, and who are the purists. It seems that one is meant to pick sides and then spin the data to the advantage of the adopted point of view. In fact, there is quite enough blame to go around for the uncertain situation that many radiology practices find themselves in today. the real bad guy is complacency and over the years it has lulled many into believing that things would always be great for radiology. You want to root out the bad guys? Fight complacency within your organizations with the same degree of determination currently reserved for shadow adversaries.
