RSNA? There’s an App For That!
iPhone and iPad users packing for RSNA may want to check out the free apps offered this year in the iTunes store that are designed to make the meeting a bit easier to navigate. RSNA Mobile Connect is the official RSNA created app and includes the RSNA twitter feed for live updates before and during the conference, as well as tools like:
  • a QR code scanner
  • a mobile searchable version of the meeting program and exhibitor listing
  • general information organized in an FAQ format
In addition, there is the somewhat easier to navigate RSNA2012 app by developer Sherpa Solutions. It’s big plus is its home screen that uses icons to put all the resources it offers together in one place. Like RSNA Mobile Connect, it includes a QR code scanner, a mobile searchable version of the meeting program and exhibitor listing, plus general information. In addition, it includes:
  • Contents of the RSNA Daily Bulletin, the conference’s newspaper
  • Digital maps that will allow you to look up locations and give you directions from your present location.
  • A location based event listing that that tells you what is happening now in the general area you are in.
  • An inbox that collects show news, special announcements, twitter posts and facebook updates.
  • A calendar feature that allows you to create your own show agenda within the app.
The City of Chicago official tourism site,, also offers a comprehensive list of general travel apps that attendees also may want to download. Click here to access.
