Agfa HealthCare unveiled a new version of its Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS), IMPAX CV12, at the American College of Cardiology’s 61st Annual Scientific Session & Expo, held last month in Chicago.
The IMPAX CV12 platform has a modular design that lets users take advantage of new upgrades as they are released. The first release of the platform features a new patient management module that includes enhanced search capability, an improved graphical user interface (GUI), and a patient worklist for improved workflow.
Agfa HealthCare has designed IMPAX CV12 to provide support for SNOMED-CT and other standard terminologies to help facilitate regulatory reporting compliance by customers.
IMPAX CV12 supports Oracle 11g and Microsoft Windows Server 2008r2 software. The product can be virtualized to reduce the hardware footprint so organizations can lower their total cost of ownership. Agfa adds that the system is reliable and meets the rigorous Department of Defense (DoD) security requirements.
IMPAX CV12 also supports Agfa HealthCare’s Imaging Clinical Information System (ICIS) platform to bring images into the Electronic Health Record (EHR). With the ICIS services platform, images and associated data are available to clinicians at virtually any location.
