Dr. Strong, a radiologist and internal medicine physician, has been a Virtual Radiologic (vRad) teleradiologist for nearly a decade, as well as a medical director within vRad’s practice from October 2005 to October 2012. He replaces Dr. Pat Basu, vRad’s former CMO, who leaves the practice in June to join Doctors on Demand, a digital media and consumer directed health care venture. Prior to joining vRad, Dr. Strong worked as an emergency room physician for the IHS, as a private practice radiologist for Inland Imaging in Spokane, Wash., and as a clinical assistant professor of radiology for the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. “Dr. Strong’s extensive experience in teleradiology and his background in emergency medicine make him ideally suited to lead our radiologists as we strive to provide the highest quality care efficiently to our customers, facilities and patients,” stated said Jim Burke, vRad’s Chief Executive Officer, in the press release.
