An upstate New York radiology practice continues to make moves with the acquisition of a local imaging group just weeks after inking contracts with major insurance providers in the region.
According to the Jamestown Post-Journal, Jamestown Radiologists of Jamestown, NY, announced last week its acquisition of the freestanding Jamestown Medical Imaging center, which provides Open MRI, CT and ultrasound services. The group also provides interventional radiology, mammography, and nuclear medicine at its primary location.
Group president Dr. Ronald D. Klizek said in a statement that the acquisition will allow the practice to expand its operational range into northern Pennsylvania and deeper into southeastern New York. Jamestown Radiologists is also the exclusive provider of radiology services at the regional WCA Hospital and recently entered participation contracts with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York, Independent Health and Univera.
