imageAmpronix Incorporated last week announced that its Modalixx G202MP autosync modality LCD display has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The monitor is among several products marketed by the company as the first universal solutions for medical-modality CRT monitor replacement with premium medical-grade LCD displays. It is said to offer a comprehensive set of inputs that enables auto-synchronization interfacing with the broadest range of connectivity requirements for medical applications. The Modalixx G202MP displays images on a 20.1-inch LCD screen, at a contrast ratio of a brightness level of 1000 cd/m2. Image enhancement features automatically up-scale any legacy analog-captured image input, displaying it as a true 2MP image. The display can be used in MRI, CT, endoscopy, radiography, DR, CR, cath lab, RF, Mobile C-Arm, mobile digital X-ray, and PET. Says Nelson Fathollahi, President and CEO of Ampronix, “What makes the Modalixx unique is that it is capable of auto-synchronizing with many different modality signals while enhancing the image quality at the same time. This gives doctors a clearer image in critical applications, like the cath lab.”
