Minneapolis-based Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) — the nation’s second largest imaging center chain since it joined with Lake Forest, Calif.-based Insight Imaging in 2012 — has completed acquisition of MRI Centers of New England’s locations in Springfield and East Longmeadow, Mass.
CDI acquired the MRI Centers of New England located in Woburn and Peabody in the summer of 2013 and had managed the centers in Springfield and East Longmeadow since then. "We are thrilled to complete the transaction of these two locations and look forward to working even closer with the local team to continue to enhance an exceptional imaging experience for patients in the community,” stated Patricia Zadra, a CDI senior vice president and general manager in its press release.
CDI currently owns and/or manages centers in 23 states. The 2013 list of largest imaging chains listed the merged CDI/Insight chain as having 100 locations.
