Linda Wilgus, the executive director of a network of imaging centers in Indiana, was awarded Chief Financial Officer of the year by the Indianapolis Business Journal among private companies with revenues under $100 million annually.
Wilgus heads Northwest Radiology Network, which owns three freestanding imaging centers and provides services at 18 hospitals and 13 other centers around Indianapolis. Over the past 15 years under Wilgus’ leadership, the practice has grown from 13 to 49 physicians with revenues topping $36 million per year, according to a recent article at IBJ.com. Wilgus was honored in part for her leadership in creating an electronic image exchange network in the local community. The system went live in 2007 and enables physicians to review digital images between different facilities and health systems, according to the article.
