Massachusetts General Physicians Organization, the provider arm of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), inked a deal this week with RIS/PACS management company Radius of Hendersonville, TN, for the provision of 3D imaging protocols and clinical services to Radius clients.

Radius, which offers a pay-per-study model, claims the deal will save as much as a quarter-of-a-million dollars in efficiency improvements at its client hospitals as well as potentially increasing reimbursement revenues.

In a press release announcing the deal, MGH 3D Imaging Services director Gordon J. Harris said that the agreement was in keeping with “our goal…to make this expertise available to caregivers and patients far beyond our walls.”
