RadNet solidified its market position in the most densely populated state in the country by forming an extensive partnership with the largest non-profit health system in New Jersey.

The company signed a multi-purpose deal with Barnabas Health that will establish a statewide diagnostic imaging network, provide onsite radiology management services at nearly 40 patient locations, and combine the purchasing power of the two organizations.

RadNet will immediately gain exclusive access to regional payors—including commercial insurers, benefit managers, and other local insurers—and patients at 37 sites throughout the Barnabas Health network. RadNet also announced its intentions to capitalize on this deal rapidly by buying up or building new imaging centers and contracting with third-party imaging providers that already operate in the state.

“With the advent of Accountable Care Organizations…our venture is an important step towards delivering a fully integrated imaging network that provides convenient, high-quality, cost-effective and patient-centric medical imaging solutions for the medical communities of New Jersey,” said RadNet CEO Dr. Howard Berger in a statement.
