RamSoft, a Toronto, Ontario-based provider of RIS, PACS, and teleradiology solutions, yesterday announced that its PowerServer 5.1 solution has achieved 2011/2012 Complete EHR* ONC-ATCB Certification. The latter designates that the software is capable of supporting providers with Stage 1 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
Version 5.1 was certified on October 3, 2011. It will be offered in both RIS/PACS and Tele Plus models, thereby allowing radiologists to qualify for Meaningful Use grants by utilizing software designed for the specialty.
“By qualifying for Meaningful Use grants, radiologists may be able to offset the proposed significant cuts to Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement for imaging,” said Vijay Ramanathan, President and CEO of RamSoft, in a statement.
ICSA Labs, an independent division of Verizon, offers vendor-neutral testing and certification testing. Its electronic health record certification and testing program provides verification that the certified EHR technology supports Meaningful Use, as well as helps health care organizations protect sensitive and private patient information.
