The RSNA Research and Education Foundation will have its largest grant year in 2012, distributing $2.9 million. More than 80 grantees will research topics such as: acute kidney injury imaging, PET/CT diagnosis of liver fibrosis, and cardiac MRI-based hemodynamic assessment of valve-related aortic disease. “Every dollar awarded to a grantee by the R&E Foundation generates more than $30 in subsequent funding from sources including National Institutes of Health, government agencies, corporations and private foundations,” according to an RSNA statement.
