The second-largest radiology group in the country has hitched its star to a new wagon.
The move puts SR’s total number of radiologist members in excess of 1,000 and adds a robust practice to the rolls of the physician-led group.
“I think Radiology Associates of North Texas is going to be a great addition to Strategic Radiology,” says Arl Van Moore, MD, FACR, Chairman of the Board and CEO of SR.
“They’re well-positioned in a geographic area, in terms of [patient] population, and have good leadership in Mark Kleinschmidt, a previous CEO of Strategic Radiology,” he says.
Moore says Radiology Associates will be “integrated with all aspects of what we’re doing,” in terms of establishing clinical best practices, gathering and analyzing data, and quality assurance.
“Now that they’re part of SR, we’re starting to figure out where some of the best fits are,” Moore says.
Radiology Associates is the 16th imaging group to join SR, says Moore, who does not have any other prospective additions on the horizon.
“I’m not sure that I know of any other organization that’s like us at this point in time,” he says.
