Vital Images, Inc., a developer of visualization and analysis solutions for healthcare providers, has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for VitreaView, a universal viewer with three-dimensional and tablet viewing capabilities.
VitreaView can access DICOM and non-DICOM medical images through a standardized viewer connected with a variety of systems, including EMR, EHR or HIE. In addition to 3D and tablet capabilities, VitreaView leverages virtualized environments to allow access to multiple databases and provides a universal imaging layer at the enterprise level, the company says. It is a solution that integrates disparate departmental imaging solutions together into one consolidated universal viewer.
Vital Images is a Toshiba Medical Systems Group Company.
