vRad Congratulates Its CMO for Acheiving New Leadership Opportunites
Virtual Radiologic (vRad) congratulated its Chief Medical Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Pat Basu, MD, for his election to the Council on Foreign Relations and his recent appointment to the Illinois State Board of Health. The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), founded in 1921, is an independent nonpartisan membership organization, think tank, and publisher with more than 4,500 members worldwide. Basu, a former White House Fellow and Stanford University faculty physician, was also recently appointed by the Governor to the Illinois State Board of Health to provide advice and help the Illinois Department of Public Health meet health objectives for the state, develop policy, assess needs, and assure access to services for public health emergencies and other health hazards. "We support Pat in his work, leading the growth and enrichment of our practice, and raising the level of consciousness locally and internationally to improve health and the quality of life," said George Morgan, vRad's Chief Executive Officer, in a press statement.
